The Philosophy
Working in the background (film/tv) business has always meant topping up an erratic income with other jobs.
Six years ago I began looking into how I might be able to do so via the Internet.
This site is the result of those endeavours.
It may not change your life, but it could certainly make it easier.
Hopefully, UKDLC, will become an extremely useful portal for those thousands of my fellow 'artistes'; plus anybody else
who needs an extra form of savings and income.
It is heavily geared towards earning extra monies within those periods, where we find ourselves with some time on our
hands (formerly known by those in the acting profession as 'resting'), and don't want to go through all the hassle of signing
on, off, claiming benefit etc..
The site has developed over the years from a single page, to the almost unwieldy behemoth that you find today. Hopefully though,
with a clear menu bar and everything categorised (as far as possible), what you need, you will easily be able to find, in
one or two clicks.
